Our son's adventure to the Amazon Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve by himself (his pics. below)
(2nd largest reserve in Ecuador), and was only planned by me.
7/2023: 5-day trip in the Amazon Rainforest Jungle - no connection unless emergencies
JetBlue to Fort Lauderdale Fl and then to Quito, Ecuador (the center of the earth is located in Quito) to arrive by to Quito UIA airport return -
Secret Garden 4 days to and from.
Contact the Amazon Cuyabeno Wildlife Center and connect via WhatsApp with the crew of the reserve.
Paid ($403.00) Cuyabeno Wildlife Center - call on Whatsapp (+31 6 28232170). Take the shuttle bus which leaves at 11:30p at Secret Garden (check the time and be there 1 hour earlier) (bus ticket - pay driver cash $20 one way)
Take the shuttle bus for travel about 9 hours to Hotel D’Mario at Lagos Agrio. At Hotel D’Mario you will arrive 7:30a approx. arrival - then at 9a the crew members pick you up in the lobby on the hotel's first floor and drive another 2 hours to take a canoe to the wilderness Eco lodge.
​You might see 8 species of monkeys; 25 species of birds, parrots; pink dolphins, insects and so much more
What to bring:
Take passport and copy; Cash
Raingear Sandals Small towel Sunglasses Water repellent backpack and water bottle Insect repellent Sunblock Camera; charger, binoculars, and reading material;6 underclothing; 6 pairs of socks; 5 pants and two shorts; 5 plus long and 2 short sleeves t-shirts for men
Soccer balls and dogs!
